Our goal for every event is to create a truly unique and custom design

It can be frustrating to just want a price and to be told, “it depends.” The truth is – it does depend on a lot of factors – amounts and types of items, types of flowers, sizes of items. Our philosophy and our specialty at Ensemble Custom Floral is to work creatively within our client’s budget to make their design dreams come true. We give our clients all the information they need to make informed decisions so that they are both happy and comfortable.


We want to deliver the very best floral design for your special event and pride ourselves on being accessible and willing to work closely with you to deliver that.

Initial consultation (no cost): During the initial consultation (either in person, over the phone, or via Zoom), we will discuss the event, the types and quantities of floral pieces needed, budget, design/style ideas, color preferences, flowers you like (and those you do not like). This typically takes 45-90 minutes. This can be an overwhelming conversation. We have created the Ensemble Custom Floral Design Guide for you to prepare for this consultation. You can jot down notes, or just mentally prepare for all of the questions!

  • Some clients come into this with a clear idea of what they would like, while others may not have a specific design style in mind–either is perfectly fine! If you have photos/Pinterest boards of concepts you like, feel free to share those.

Initial design proposal (no cost): We will take the information from the consultation and prepare a design collage for you to provide feedback on, as well as an approximate cost estimate. At this stage, you can provide feedback on the design and if changes are necessary to achieve a design within budget, this is the time to do so.

Full proposal & contract: Any last changes from the design proposal will be incorporated into a final proposal and contract, subject to a 20% non-refundable deposit.

Ahead of the event: Approx. 3-4 weeks before the event, we will touch base to confirm the details, determine if there are any last-minute adjustments, discuss the set-up plan, and then place the floral order with the wholesaler. At this time, the remaining invoice will be due.


The nature of custom floral design is that there is no “one-size-fits-all” budget, as so many variables (specific materials, quantities of pieces, etc.) influence the total cost. If you are only looking for personal flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages), expect to budget around $900-$1,500. For a full wedding design (personal flowers plus ceremony space floral design and reception floral design), expect to budget between $2,500-6,000. The ultimate total will depend upon a variety of factors. To help you with budgeting, the following represents some typical estimates per piece:

  • Bridal bouquet: $200-300 ea
  • Bridesmaid bouquets: $100-150 ea
  • Boutonniere: $15-20 ea
  • Corsages: $20-30 ea
  • Table centerpieces: $75-300 ea
